Hello, I’m Ashwina!
I love the little details that bring an experience together and the intersection of technology, business, and art that design lives in. I’m persistent, imaginative, and always a little surprised by what I’m capable of. It’s the little wins that have brought me here, and there’s still so much to figure out :)

“So, what do you actually do?”
This question has sent me down an existential rabbit hole more than once. Great design is supposed to be invisible, which is lovely for the person using it and a slightly questionable selling point for the designer.
My attempts to explain it have been met with the occasional unconvincing nod, a few mmms and aahs, and the ever-reliable “wow, cool!” Eventually, I went looking for an answer a little closer to home: in the word itself. Turns out, design had a little thought put into it, too.
So I turned it into a small reminder of what design asks of me, what I hope to bring to it, and what I’d like it to leave behind.
To question what exists and imagine what could be.
To look closely at people and the worlds they move through.
To make something that leaves a mark, however small.
Things I do when I'm not designing.
Started with singing, picked up guitar and keys along the way, and have a playlist for pretty much every mood.
Usually the one everyone asks for pictures, because I love capturing little, random moments.
Three days at home once turned into three consecutive days of baking. My mom started getting concerned, so naturally, I gave her a cookie.
I like games that bring out everyone's competitive side. Catan, UNO and Ticket to Ride are a few reliable ways to get there.
Always collecting recommendations for the next good meal. Know a place I should try? Add it here.
A good stretch of trees & a stimulating conversation, and I’m happy to keep walking. My friends, less happily, ask me to slow down.

Before you go, let's go down memory lane!
Let’s see if you can find all the pairs.
